Quant trading firm is looking for a
"Heavy Hitter" with a passion for technology, who will lead the way in
reducing complexity at the most fundamental layers of their technology
and data stack, while building core functionality for in-house systems
and frameworks.
You will
interact regularly with trading desk-aligned technology teams and will
be responsible for building next generation infrastructure used by
various groups at the firm, as well as architecting solutions to support
new technical and business initiatives.
Experience building a system using Java and/or Python is essential. Strong Engineers outside of finance will be considered, although someone with Trading Systems architecture experience will be given preference.
Ideal candidate skills:
- A programmer with experience in server-side systems, databases, messaging, and caching technology
- A strong background in Computer Science fundamentals (top-tier university degree is preferable)
- Someone passionate about solving challenging problems with a wide variety of technology
- Technical skills required: Java and/or Python
