Come join us as we build out IBM’s cloud computing platform. IBM has recently made a large investment in buying SoftLayer and we are looking to enable significant growth in that customer base. We are looking for team members who can integrate and expand on SoftLayer’s platform as we integrate it into IBM. This is a large and dynamic platform with diverse capabilities. We will be adding cloud computing capabilities and integrating the system with IBM’s sales systems, user/account management, support, billing, and other back end systems. We use agile programming with a continuous delivery (DevOps) model and are looking to automate absolutely everything that we can. The production system includes numerous aspects of large scale systems, with applications, databases, application servers, firewalls, security zones, load balancing, messaging, scripting, automation, user interfaces and more. We are looking for software developers who have experience in Java, object oriented development and agile programming. Our team is charged with the development of the overall system. We are currently seeking to establish co-located teams of talented engineers that can expand and integrate SoftLayer technologies with IBM cloud technologies. Essential Duties: Design and develop software that meets complex requirements Communicate with team members and adapt to changing requirements Support software through the entire product lifecycle, including build, test, deployment, and production. Manage schedules, prioritize requests, and provide status Ability to work in a world-wide, agile, continuous delivery organization Experience in the following areas is preferred: Java, Perl, JS and other web development scripting languages J2EE technologies: Servlets, etc. XML, AJAX, XSLT, web technologies Software development and support process RTC WAS Clustering DB2, SQL W3C HTML standards Eclipse or similar development tool Enterprise Design patterns Network design, deployment, and administration Web security protocols and design patterns Security/compliance implementation, developing and maintaining applications and systems against compliance criteria Strong analytical skills

Required Bachelor's Degree At least 2 years experience in Professional Software Development English: Fluent
