Key Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of and passion for statistical data analysis
- Knowledge of data mining and visualization of large data sets
- Experience in building large scale real-world backend and middle-tier systems in Java
- Understanding of scaling Big Data applications
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Hbase, Zookeeper
- Experience with R or other statistical computing packages (commons-math)
- Agile software development experience
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly motivated, self-directed, fast learner
Description
You
will be a critical part of an engineering team focused on Big Data
analytics applications for CoreMedia, FaceTime, GameCenter and their
underlying networking architecture. You
must enjoy the excitement of rapid development, tight deadlines, and
interacting with other high energy teams. You’ll be asked to create and
implement solutions to help collect and analyze various data sets for
troubleshooting and improving how our software behaves in real-world
situations.
Education
B.S., or better, in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Additional Requirements
Programming skills in Ruby and JavaScript, knowledge of C/C++/Objective-C a plus
Experience with any major Ruby web framework (Sinatra, Rails) a plus
Familiarity with Test Driven Development a plus
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript a plus
