Further information about "working at Moody's" is available at our Careers Page at www.moodys.com * Perform System Functionality and User Acceptance Testing to ensure proper revenue recognition. * Assist in gathering requirements for process automations and communicating these to the appropriate departments for implementation. * Work closely with IT teams to ensure Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue Accounting when applicable Accounts Payable user needs are adequately communicated for all projects. * Prepare for User Acceptance Testing when necessary, ensuring all possible scenarios are captured, prepare testing documentation, assign testers and make certain that system access is available prior to UAT. * Test new reports and processes, pre- and post- implementation. * Prepare transition plan post UAT/pre-rollout which will address the team training and transition of new duties/processes to related teams. * Provide training to Accounts Receivable (Cash Application), Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting team members on new reports, processes, procedures prior to implementation. * Review and update procedure documentation, as needed. * Recommend improvements to the existing workflow, document and execute approved changes/ processes. * Perform high level Financial Analysis, with minimal supervision. * Troubleshoot issues that arise in the department related to projects and system functionality. * Comply with key controls as mandated by Sarbanes Oxley * Perform SOX Compliance Testing to ensure conformity with SAB 104, as needed. * Provide ad hoc support to all teams above  Qualifications:   Computer Application Experience: * Proficient in Microsoft Office primarily Excel and Word.  * Some experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is desirable as well as Microsoft Access and Projects but not necessary  * Enterprise software suite knowledge (PeopleSoft, Hyperion or SAP )  * Strong computer skills      The following are the key competencies: * Job knowledge and technical skills. * Planning and organization. * Communication * Ability to adapt to fast pace and growing environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Detail oriented. * Teamwork and commitment. * Problem solving / judgment. * Initiative and results oriented. * Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. * Prior Experience Years (minimum): 2-5 years, in an accounting or system related function. * Familiarity with P&L and Balance Sheet. * Prior experience in financial services industry, dealing with a wide range of individuals and departments. * Experience with data analysis.  * Prior experience working with PeopleSoft desired but not necessary. * System implementation or conversion experience. Education: *  Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or equivalent, required.  Revenue Accounting - NY MIS and MSS Candidates are asked to disclose securities holdings pursuant to Moody's Policy for Securities Trading.
