Job Summary
We
are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Web Developer that has
extensive experience working with SQL databases, web systems,
web-enabling software PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and integrating web
applications with SQL databases. Candidates will have a strong
understanding of Internet access and security. Candidate must possess
excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and is be able to
translate business and technical requirements into workable technical
solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong written and oral
communication skills and is willing to learn from and share knowledge
with others.
Key Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of web database applications, and analytical programming techniques required
- Database expertise in MySQL, Teradata, MongoDB
- Mastery of the following technologies: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Familiarity with agile development principles
- Experience with SCM (Github, SVN, etc)
- Strong knowledge of MVC software architecture
- Object oriented programming using PHP
- Knowledge of javascript libraries include jQuery & Twitter Bootstrap
- Proficient in the full database lifecycle of design, implementation, support and maintenance activities
- Experience in SQL tuning, writing complex queries, triggers and query optimization
- Strong UNIX knowledge, including shell scripting desired
- Comfortable converting wireframes and mockups into semantically correct HTML & CSS. Familiarity with user-friendly design practices.
- Ability to work independently, on a team and in a fast paced environment
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to change through the lifecycle of a project
Description
• Develop user friendly and intuitive web enabled front-ends to display reports, graphs, and metrics from large datasets
• Document operational configurations, processes and procedures
• Establish and maintain security and integrity controls
• Address the full range of programming and database problems and solve those problems with minimal supervision
• Design, develop, service and tune SQL databases
• Investigate and resolve database alerts and events, escalating issues as appropriate
• Optimize and validate SQL
• Identify measurements and methods for gauging database performance
• Ensure availability of database systems
• Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures in relation to database usage and management
Education
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 Years in a developer capacity on a Development team
