Job description

IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise in one or more storage system technology areas. Examples include: disk, tape, SAN, NAS, or storage software related to these technologies. Knowledge of both IBM and other vendor products (EMC, HDS, NetApp) is beneficial. Strong skills in Data Protection and Retention technologies is required with practical and applied knowledge of data de-duplication. This is a technical sales role to support field sales in driving storage revenue in their territories. Typical examples of activities are building proof-of-concept solutions with storage system technology, architecting storage solutions to address client requirements and providing technical content for proposals. Client Technical Specialists also are responsible for establishing strong technical relationships with their clients and ensuring their satisfaction with IBM products and support.

Required At least 6 months experience in supporting sale of Data Protection and Retention, Deduplication, Tape, SAN, or storage software related to these technologies Readiness to travel 25% travel annually English: Fluent
