The Financial Management Group is looking to hire a Senior Accountant in the Bloomfield Hills office.

The Financial Management Group (FMG) provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie.

The group is focused on three key outcomes:
  • Managing the Macquarie balance sheet and profit & loss optimally and strategically
  • Adding value to Macquarie's senior management and its businesses by providing advice and analysis that is strategic, timely, accurate and comprehensive
  • Ensuring Macquarie continues to meet the obligations within its regulatory and compliance framework

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

OVERVIEW: This Finance position supporting Macquarie Equipment Finance (MEF), Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, has a variety of responsibilities including analyzing and booking lease transactions, portfolio account reconciliation preparation and analysis. Participate in month-end book close process including journal entry preparation and month-over variance analysis. This position interacts routinely with other Finance team members and multiple levels of management.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Analyze and book Lease activity for MEF's Flow business and Servicer portfolios
  • Record and maintain Third Party Debt Loan activity for Canadian lease portfolio
  • Prepare cash flows for monthly servicer reports
  • Prepare, reconcile and analyze multiple portfolio general ledger accounts, supporting US, Canadian and Flow lease portfolios
  • Prepare schedules and assist with US and Canadian Corporate Data Program (CDP) reconciliation process
  • Utilize a multitude of systems to support the Finance function and the business
  • Ad hoc special projects and other duties as needed

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THIS POSITION:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Advanced Certification a plus) with 3 to 5 years accounting experience

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills; attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

· A self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet imposed deadlines

· Ability to work independently and be flexible

· Ability to navigate and function in various online systems

· Strong proficiency with MS Excel and Word

· Strong communication skills with ability to effectively interact with team members and multiple levels of Management
