Artisan Partners is looking for an
individual to fill a research associate position on its Global Equity
team. The ideal candidate understands the unique culture of a
talent-based institutionally-focused firm and succeeds in a demanding,
dynamic environment.
Artisan Partners is an independent
investment management firm focused on providing high value-added, active
investment strategies to sophisticated clients globally. The firm has
offices located in Milwaukee, San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, London
and Singapore.
As of June 30, 2013 Artisan Partners had approximately $85 billion in assets under management.
The Artisan Global Equity Team manages approximately $22 billion in four long only equity funds: Artisan International Growth, Artisan International Small Cap, Artisan Global Equity and Artisan Global Small Cap. The team invests in international and US companies and is focused on stocks offering long-term sustainable growth at reasonable valuations.
The investment team includes four portfolio managers and approximately 20 research professionals located in San Francisco, New York, London and Singapore. These research professionals have either sector- or geographic-focused specialties. We are looking for a research associate to support our analyst who covers the Asia Ex-Japan region. The associate will focus on data collection and analysis, financial modeling, tracking news, portfolio stock coverage and supporting new idea generation.
Qualifications:
-Strong interest in growth investing and a focus on bottom up, fundamental stock analysis.
-Two to five years of relevant experience within a professional investment or financial services environment (sellside equity research, buyside equity research or investment banking).
-Strong working knowledge of financial accounting, stock valuation analysis, corporate finance principals, Excel spread sheet analysis.
-Strong communication skills.
-Strong work ethic.
-Ability to work in a small team environment.
-Undergraduate degree.
