Macquarie Capital is looking for an Associate to join their Latin America team in New York.

Macquarie Capital (MacCap) comprises Macquarie Group's corporate advisory, equity underwriting and principal investment businesses.

With offices in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America, Europe, South Africa and the Middle East, MacCap provides a depth of services including specialist capabilities in:
  • mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and corporate restructuring advice
  • equity capital markets, equity and debt capital management and raising
  • debt structuring and distribution
  • private equity placements
  • principal products

MacCap is in the process of increasing its presence in Latin America and the US and is looking to build our team based in New York City.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have 5- 8 years transactional experience ideally at an investment bank, private equity firm, project finance lender or similar.
  • Have experience in core transactional skills (valuation, due diligence, commercial analysis, project management
  • Have demonstrated team leadership qualities, and ability to work autonomously
  • Have excellent written and oral communication abilities and the ability to work with those at all levels
  • Have strong analytical and numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Have a hard-working, can-do attitude and a willingness to handle multiple aspects of a transaction
  • Be able to work in an open, fast-paced environment
  • Be able to effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Be ambitious, motivated, entrepreneurial and have the desire to succeed
  • Be a team player
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
  • Portuguese language skills and/or experience in infrastructure/power and utilities would be an advantage.
