Work on the IBM team as a Java software developer. Apply technical expertise / capabilities and Java development skills to design and develop efficient software solutions, based upon client’s business requirements. Analyze customer requirement; perform all programming functions to accomplish specific software solution requirements; design (or modify) systems to accomplish functions in compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle framework; verify the accuracy and validity of all software developed, including preparations of sample test data and the execution of program, job stream, and system testing; and prepare all required documentation indicating system functionality. In this job role you'll use your expertise in translating IT requirements into great design, as well as development and assembly of components, coding, unit testing and documentation, to create custom information systems for our clients. Applicants should also be specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services, and implementation, environment. Required High School Diploma/GED At least 3 years experience in Java and scripting languages At least 2 years experience in data modeling At least 5 years experience in ability to work with developers, analysts and managers as needed  Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SCI) Full Scope or Lifestyle Polygraph - Active Readiness to travel Up to 1 day a week U.S. citizenship required English: Intermediate

Preferred Bachelor's Degree At least 2 years experience in hands-on experience with MapReduce, HDFS, HBase At least 2 years experience in hands-on experience developing workflows in Hadoop, Streaming, Pig and JACL
