Finance helps our internal clients outperform over time. At BNY Mellon, Finance serves our internal clients by providing world-class accounting operations and control and decision support while instituting world-class change management.

Global Procurement is responsible for establishing the programs to acquire products and services for BNY Mellon by employing deep category knowledge and commodity expertise, coupled with an understanding of the needs of our businesses and business partner groups.

The Corporate Treasury group is responsible for managing the investment portfolios and the liquidity and capital positions of the various subsidiary banks and of BNY Mellon.

Description

The incumbent directly and through his/her line of business controllership organization is responsible for supporting the head of medium to small support department with management reporting and business analysis and decision support designed to improve growth and profitability and high returns for the Corporation. This is accomplished through a process of financial planning, forecasting, measurement, review and analysis. That includes cost drivers, key business measures and monitoring the financial impact of business initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for the oversight of certain financial accounting, reconciliation functions that exist within or sponsors multiple lines of business or legal entities that exist to support these lines of business.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a B.A./B.S. in Business or equivalent experience; M.B.A. or C.P.A. preferred. Seven (7) or more years progressive accounting and financial analysis with one (1) or two (2) years of management/supervisory experience (direct or project); broad-based knowledge of advanced financial management concepts, e.g., discounted cash flow analyses, net interest margin and funding, and managerial accounting and reporting concepts and processes; excellent communication (verbal, written), presentation, and consultative skills.
