Job Summary

The Post-Ramp Qualification Operations Project Manager (PRQ-OPM) is a key role that manages the qualification of components and processes that increase supply, reduce costs, reduce returns, and improve yield. The PRQ-OPM will lead cross-functional teams and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) teams to resolve issues from development and mass production. This role includes identifying, evaluating, and driving the multiple teams while clearly communicating the risks, priorities and schedules to the management team. This highly-interactive role, works with autonomy yet has access and is responsible to executive management for results. PRQ-OPM collaborates with engineering to establish timelines, milestones, and requirements for qualifying changes to ramping and shipping iPhone products. The OPM will manage and prioritize requests from many stakeholders, including: contract manufacturers, component vendors, quality, planning, marketing, and supply managers. OPMs work daily with overseas contractors, as well as locally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams. The OPM must respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture. The successful candidate will be a fearless leader capable of working with highly skilled EE, ME, SW, and RF teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly and efficiently as possible. As this requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process, OPMs are required to have an engineering degree and experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Key Qualifications

  • The role includes the following main duties:
  • Lead cross functional engineering teams towards completion of qualifications
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering and Operations teams to identify/prioritize/risk assess engineering/quality improvements qualifications
  • Succinctly communicate overall status of qualifications to the management team
  • Travel internationally to drive builds as needed

Description

•2-4 years of overall industry experience shipping products •Strong multidisciplinary, technical background •Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Education

BS ME/EE/CE degree or equivalent preferred
