The Fleet Manager will deliver maximum customer value by driving Responsiveness, Diagnostics and Data Quality effectiveness through product aligned technical excellence. The Fleet Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.
In addition, you will:

  • Provide technical assistance to airline customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of engines as a member of the Aviation Operations Center (AOC)
  • Identify product failure trends and assist in identifying probable root causes
  • Advance current engine Diagnostic capabilities and services to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Provide front-line technical response to inquiries received by the AOC, identifying potential problems and coordinating troubleshooting activities with numerous internal organizations
  • Develop and capture technical problem solving knowledge, communicating with other organizations to enable effective resolution of customer problems and inquires
  • Interpret aircraft and engine manuals and service bulletins
  • Manage communication with customer of the AOC at all levels to ensure effective product support and to enhance the GE image
  • Manage communication among internal organizations and customer personnel to ensure effective product support and customer satisfaction
  • Distribute information on customer issues so that all members of the customer support team share common understanding and objectives
  • Assist in developing common technical procedures and driving technical solutions throughout the region
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 additional years of experience in a customer interface role or maintenance engineering position)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engine systems, operability and performance, or turbo machinery
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience requiring in customer support, the development of successful customer relationships
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Six Sigma training (GE Employees only)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

    The CFM56 Product Line Team will improve customer satisfaction by integrating customer interfaces and optimizing customer response delivery and accuracy.
