Job description

The IBM Software group division seeking motivated and innovative software engineers to join its software development teams, in Austin, Texas, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Littleton, Massachusetts. Selected candidates will be part of the teams that are responsible for designing, developing, and testing components for the IBM Business Process Management (BPM), the IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM), and the IBM Blueworks Live (IBM cloud based SaaS BPM offering) products. Successful candidates will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirements to design, to development, to test, to release, to customer success. Candidates must be self starters and are able to lead or participate in structured and unstructured teams as the need arises. Must be willing to work with and learn enterprise technologies and be comfortable working in a matrixed organization. The development teams work in a fast-paced environment, with broad teamwork with local and remote colleagues in our overall organization. Responsibilities: Develop innovative software, with an emphasis on Java and web technologies. Ensure software quality through developing automated test frameworks and performing manual testing (unit testing and code reviews) Deliver projects on-time and to specification with an appropriate level of quality Work with architects & leads to understand requirements Debug, fix, and validate defects Skills: Strong Java programming skills with strong fundamentals in computer science (object-oriented design and design patterns, data structures, algorithms) Experience with client UI technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS, GWT, Swing). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, including the ability to think creatively about issues. Ability to interact and communicate clearly (both written and verbal) with both technical and non-technical internal and external customers. Well-organized, process driven with the ability to multi-task and work alone or in a team environment.

Required High School Diploma/GED English: Basic knowledge
