Responsibilities:


  • Improve the process and cost efficiency of the Subsurface and Wells Delivery Vertical by handling all relevant information and activities concerning software license management for software engineering tools

  • Manage and maintain an inventory of commercially-purchased software engineering software used in Subsurface and Wells teams; this includes key information required for buying, renewing, co-terming, maintaining and forecasting the need for software licenses

  • Responsible for raising Purchase Requests in Shell’s ERP system and distribute license keys at the end of the order cycle

  • Proactively monitor submitted procurement requests throughout the order lifecycle from purchase request to invoice payment, resolving issues, errors, and dealing with ambiguities as they arise.

  • Manage financials related to software engineering purchased software costs across Subsurface and Wells DV

Requirements:


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree or higher in Business Management, Finance, Management Information Systems or equivalent.

  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience required; preferably software license experience

  • Certified Professional in Software License Management or Software Asset Management strongly preferred

  • Will have to work in non-US time zones occasionally, for comminucations with offshore finance and C&P teams

  • Must have the ability to organize and analyze a large amount of related information

  • Must have the ability and drive to monitor many procurement requests simultaneously and respond to issues that arise with insight

  • Experience in a contracting and procurement role is an advantage but not required

  • Must have strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decisions

  • Experience in vendor relationship management preferred

  • Strong planning, coordination, communication and people skills required

  • Some finance and/or accounting knowledge and experience with ERP systems required

  • Tolerance of ambiguity in task planning
