Job Description:

The Finance Manager plays a key role in Global Biologics Financial Planning & Analysis and Genentech Accounting & Costing.

This role reports to the Head of Finance – PFTB Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting and interfaces with multiple local and global colleagues.  This role will have exposure across the PFTB Finance team, while providing the candidate a deep understanding of how manufacturing finance works at Genentech and across the global Roche network.

A successful candidate for this role has a passion for process improvement in financial reporting and the ability to lead projects that streamline data consolidation and reporting.



Specific Responsibilities:

    Consolidate global Biologics OU financial data for forecasts and monthly reporting, including development and maintenance of financial models to consolidate global data.
    Actively collaborate with Financial Planning Systems team and local/global finance colleagues to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
    Serve as the finance point of contact for reporting systems (FRAME & TM1).
    Identify areas of inefficiency and lead projects that streamline routine financial reporting and data collection processes; partner with colleagues, customers and Financial Planning Systems team to assess and implement recommendations in a timely and effective manner.
    Take on cost accounting responsibilities to further develop knowledge, which includes supporting annual standard costing, ad hoc product costing analysis, month-end close, and master data maintenance.
    Support ad hoc reporting requests from PTB Leadership , PFTB Finance and Corporate Finance.
    Identify and articulate improvement initiatives aligned with group and departmental goals and actively lead and/or participate in process improvement projects, as required.

Who You Are

Job Requirements:

    5 years of experience in Finance.  Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and/or manufacturing is preferred.  Finance, economics or business degree required.  MBA preferred.  CPA a plus.
    Must have strong analytical and organizational skills paired with excellent attention to detail.
    Track record in identifying process improvements, successfully implementing change, and operating with sense of ownership for projects and results.
    Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines and timelines, with proven experience in meeting goals on time.
    Experience in preparing monthly financial management reports
    Must have advanced Excel / PowerPoint skills and experience with SAP R/3, SAP Business Warehouse and Cognos TM1.
    Expert verbal and written communications to address all levels within an organization.
    Experience in a customer service environment highly desired.
