DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Position Overview:

The Technology Architect II drives technology standards, evolution and governance for The Coca-Cola Company.  This role will champion the application of industry best practices, enterprise architecture strategies and engineering standards to ensure successful solutions for a wide variety of projects across Global IT, with an emphasis on cloud based solutions.  The person in this position must have experience analyzing and recommending solutions to successfully meet emerging business requirements and have successfully implemented large scale on-premise and cloud computing solutions within a Fortune 100 enterprise.


Primary Responsibilities:  

Consult with project teams in order to develop a solution design which is compliant with the architecture and standards of the Company.

Lead and participate in Technology Review Boards to assess new technologies being introduced in the Company.

Define technology roadmaps, reference architectures, patterns, and standards.

Lead technology evaluations and implementations to fill gaps in the Technology Architecture.

Analyze existing and emerging technology offerings in the marketplace to keep up to date on the latest trends and recommend solutions to successfully meet emerging business requirements.

Assess Cloud providers’ capabilities to deliver services according to strategy.

Define and evangelize solution reference architectures and patterns for leveraging cloud throughout the Coca-Cola system.

Assess the compatibility and integration of products proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technology segments.

Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to other Architects and Engineers throughout the Company.

Monitor standards/policy compliance by developing and executing governance processes and tools.    

Education: BS or BA degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or related technology field.
Experience:  At least 10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology

Technical Skills:
System Design: Knowledge of system design procedures and the ability to translate functional business requirements into an applications or processes to meet clients' needs that also meets all relevant Company standards.

Technology Architecture: Ability to holistically conceptualize and model the use of technologies across a broad set of business applications to translate business strategies and requirements into technical strategies and to apply the architecture models to create achievable system designs for business solutions.

Application Development Methodology: Ability to apply the standard application development methods covering the full development lifecycle to ensure solution quality and consistency of process.

IT Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the key directional trends and emerging technologies in the Cloud Computing industry including infrastructure as a service and platform as a service such as storage). Includes knowledge of the key vendors, their strategic and tactical plans, and internal/external advisory services.

Technical Writing: Knowledge of and ability to apply effective design principles to communicate complex and detailed information across various communication vehicles and global environments.

Technology Architecture & Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of the Company's technology architecture standards and standard technology solutions.

Proficient understanding and experience with the majority of the following:

Cloud computing and integration of cloud solutions

Web Services (SOAP, REST, XML), SOA, layered architectures, components, interfaces, messaging and patterns

Java, .NET, and LAMP stacks

Web: Java, HTML, HTML5, Javascript, Python, PHP, CSS3

Application Servers: TomCat, IIS, JBoss, WebSphere

Search Engines:  Google Search Appliance, Solr/Lucene

OS: Linux, Windows, iOS, Android

LDAP, Identity and Access Management, application security

Experience with consumer facing solutions a plus (social, video, music, content management, high volume websites)
