What You'll Do
At John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group in Urbandale, IA as a Senior Product Manager,
you willbe part of building industry altering new mobile applications
and technology for agriculture that will directly impact how customers
work. In the role you will:
- Lead the development of customer requirements to build and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Manage existing products to optimize market adoption, including sales strategies, communications and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of new On Board Applications solutions through identification and prioritization of customer needs throughout the Enterprise Technology Development Process(ETDP) and Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP) processes.
- Develop market opportunities for new products prior to charter, including competitive analysis, volumes and pricing.
- Serve as a member of the On Board Applications customer team focused on continuous improvement.
- Act as a consultant on technology to machine product families within the enterprise.
- Lead marketing communications including sales manuals, training, new product introductions and expositions.

will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management, Agriculture,
Agronomy or Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career
field. In addition we require:
- Knowledge of John Deere products, customers, markets and competitors.
- Understanding of precision agriculture technologies and their role in corn and soybean production systems.
- Experience interfacing with customers to understand their needs.
- 2+ years of experience in a practical application of agronomics in corn/soybean production systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35%.
A strong candidate will also have:
- Team leadership and/or mentoring experience.
- Knowledge of product development processes and the translation of needs into solutions.
- Experience with supporting/selling precision agriculture technologies
- Knowledge of our dealers and their role in selling solutions to customers.
