Director – Derivatives & Hedging, Treasury Suppport Services Controllership-14001649
Description
The Derivatives & Hedging Director role is responsible for the Company’s SEC and regulatory reporting for Derivatives & Hedging, and Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income; as well as serving as the chief point of contact for Treasury, Controllership and other Finance business partners for derivatives financial instruments business advisory consultations. The director leads a team of three managers and one analyst.
Responsibilities Include:
- Derivatives & Hedging Subject Matter Expert for the Company
- Responsible for managing the Company’s ASC 815 hedge accounting programs
- Develop and manage strong client relationships through interactions with internal and external clients and maintain regular client contact to ensure that satisfaction levels are high
- Recognize and lead opportunities to drive efficiency & strengthen controls in derivatives & hedging processes
- Provide coaching, training, project management, and leadership to the derivatives & hedging team
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of relevant working experience in derivatives treasury controllership, accounting policy, risk, and/or product controllership
- Deep practical knowledge of derivatives
- Demonstrated track record of strong team leadership and project management
- Ability to explain financial instrument concepts to diverse audiences
- In depth understanding & experience with US GAAP ASC 320 (FAS 115), ASC 815 (FAS 133), ASC 820 (FAS 157), ASC 830 (FAS 52)
- Familiarity with Basel
