Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and modify the overall release management life cycle
- Ability to think systematically as well as having process knowledge
- Define Release Management interfaces, activities, and tasks needed from various departments
- Work closely with multiple teams such as Products, Communication Service Management (CSM), Services and Operations Management (SOM), Delivery Vertical organizations and other application development delivery teams
- Ensure that there are people, processes, costs, and technology alignments
- Prioritize and negotiate across the IT value chain
- Responsible for working with end user communities to communicate, prepare and train on new releases of services
- Chairs the MNS Release Council(s) and ensure that proper membership is present at council meetings
- Work with IT Services and Operations (ITSO) Landscape Operations & Integrations (LOI) organization to document and ensure alignment and sustainability of the release management process for the MNS bundle, including evergreen of the mission, description, and process objectives for the release management process
- Accountable for managing the lifecycle views with dependencies and integrations into other component and services
- Develop Release Policy and obtain approval from the Release Council
- Develop policies and procedures for hardware, software, configuration releases and windows for such refresh
- Work with the Refresh Programme and Product Managers to track the releases and percentage completion for the Release Council stakeholders
- Work with the appropriate Component Service Managers and Product Managers to ensure that there is appropriate Resource Baseline Unit (RBU) and cost structure to fund the release changes and migrations
- Advise and coach supplier delivery staff and team
- Advise ITSO and business stakeholders on contractual & commercial aspects as it relates to Release to ensure linkages and alignment with the ISP contractual framework
- Chairs the MNS Release Council(s) and ensure that proper membership is present at council meetings
- Work with ITSO LOI organization to document and ensure alignment and sustainability of the release management process for the MNS bundle, including evergreen of the mission, description, and process objectives for the release management process
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full time basis for anyone other than your current employer
- Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in electrical engineering, computer science, or Information Technology
- Must have five (5) years of professional experience
