Position Description:
At Microsoft’s Americas Operations Center we have a passion for customers, partners and technology. As a member of the Americas Operations team, you will coordinate and manage AOC Enterprise Services business-critical revenue processing functions. Your role will include independently designing solutions and implementation of new global operational processes and procedures. Our goal is to ensure consistent, repeatable processes across all services groups on a global level while displaying world-class partnering and customer service skills to our internal and external clients. You will be joining a team that is focused on results, works together to solve problems, and is committed to developing people.
The Operations Specialist interfaces with Enterprise Services to ensure that the Contract to Cash policies and processes are managed in a compliant and an efficient manner. The Operations Specialist is accountable for driving operational excellence across Services Operations through the identification and creation of solutions to solve deficiencies, improve performance and maximize revenue within their business segment. The successful candidate will be able to influence his or her business group priorities by acting as a facilitator between teams which will result in increased efficiencies across business groups and areas. The Operations Specialist collaborates across functions, including such business groups as Legal and Corporate Affairs, Contracts and Negotiations, Credit and Collections and Finance.
This position can be located in either Charlotte, NC; Reno, NV; Las Colinas, TX; or Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Responsibilities:
• Manage business relationships providing comprehensive intelligence which will lead to better and faster decision making by our stakeholders.
• Drive creative value-added solutions while establishing a balance of clear boundaries with trusted partnership.
• Understand the controls that drive compliance and provide direction to enable the stakeholders to maintain clean metrics.
• Ensure policies and processes are enforced and communicated. Accountable for escalations.
• Leverage reporting and analytics to manage end-to-end contracts to cash functions.
• Revenue, invoicing and contract management.
• Drive continuous process improvements via analysis and identification of opportunities with a global consideration.
• Communicate to all levels including senior management.
• Collaborate with the Global Enterprise Services Operations to ensure integrated worldwide processes.
• Use judgment and discretion to recommend changes on standard processes and policies that result in compliance and increased efficiencies.
• Occasional travel may be required
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
• Indirect People Management Experience
• Experience with systems, tools, or IT infrastructure management is a plus.
• Specific knowledge of the business activities within Enterprise Services is helpful
• Proven attention to detail with strong financial skills and a solid grasp of financial concepts
• Understand industry objectives, strategic direction and key competition
• Detail oriented with proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information.
• Able to work in a pressured environment to tight deadlines when required
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Proven ability to independently and effectively create solutions that can be globally implemented.
• Ability to develop and implement creative solutions and influence others in their adoption.
• Exceptional operational analysis and cross group collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work remotely from core business team.
• Previous program or project management experience with proven track record of successful change management.
