Responsibilities
- Design and develop cutting e-commerce applications using Microsoft technology stack
- Develop robust, secure, scalable code for a high-availability, high-volume system.
- Collaborate with agile teams to understand customer scenarios, analyze requirements and/or user stories, plan, determine technical approach and design
- Contribute to moving the team forward in leading edge processes like continuous integration, continuous delivery and test driven development.
- Respond to mission-critical software problems in a rapid and high-quality fashion when needed
- Collaborate and provide mentorship with team members for continuous improvement in an agile development environment
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as an independent performer
- Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release systems to ensure high-quality software releases over time
- Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- On-call production support after-hours
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of working in software development
- 8+ years Programming experience in .NET (C#), C++, SQL, JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience in a rapid development environment
- Proficiency in the following: REST, ASP.NET MVC3, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery
- Proficient designing and coding with HTML5/Ajax/CSS/JS
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Significant development experience in .Net (C#), SQL, and Java
- Knowledge of WCF, XML, Web Oriented Architecture, and SOA frameworks desired
- Git, GitHub, Dynatrace, Splunk, Stash, and JIRA experience
- Proficiency with software engineering practices, data modeling, objected oriented analysis & design, design patterns and algorithms.
- Perform code reviews and provide mentorship throughout the team
- Experience with test driven development and performance tuning a plus
- Experience working with diverse, collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
