Job Summary
The
Maps team is looking for a motivated Build and Tools Engineer to ensure
high-quality delivery of Maps applications and frameworks. The
successful candidate combines a love of iOS and Maps with a strong
dedication to product quality and reliability.
Key Qualifications
- Experience working in a build or tools support role for a professional software development team
- Strong software debugging skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and self-sufficient
Description
Maintain and improve the Maps continuous integration server
Maintain and improve project files
Manage source control and branches
Maintain build servers
Write tools and scripts to facilitate reliable builds and automated testing
Troubleshoot issues related to tools, builds, and test suites
Document best practices and how-tos
Work with other iOS teams to coordinate dependencies and common efforts
Education
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Experience developing software in C++ and/or Objective-C
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages
Ability to set up and maintain Xcode project files and Makefiles
Deep familiarity with one or more version control systems, preferably including git
Administration of servers
Web interface development
