Job Summary
Play
a key role in deploying effective audio and video broadcast
technologies for Apple. Work with IS&T teams to improve the state of
the art AV/VC systems by improving the quality of existing video
conference integrations and developing next generation video conference
and broadcast integrated solutions.
Strong project management skills in an audio/video broadcast
environment. Provide a solid foundation in AV/VC infrastructure and a
track record of implementing and deploying video conferencing and
broadcast solutions.
Be involved in the management of overall internal audio/video technology
and in improving the quality of the existing and future videoconference
and broadcast systems used globally at Apple.
Key Qualifications
- Experience with Tandberg/Cisco video conferencing systems.
- Solid experience with audio and video support operations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in technical support.
- In depth knowledge of network operations best practices, production
- support, and capacity planning.
- Minimum 3 years of experience and knowledge of Tandberg, Cisco and
- Codian video conferencing technologies.
- Understand network design, quality of service, and network security.
- Deliver customer service excellence by understanding Apple business,
- identifying the appropriate technical solutions, and meeting/exceeding
- service expectations.
- Identify, analyze, and drive problems to resolution, handling complex
- issues simultaneously while effectively communicating across teams.
Description
Employee
will be responsible for the operational support, engineering,
maintenance, and capacity planning of the Apple video conferencing and
broadcast network infrastructure.
Responsible for supporting video conferencing and internal broadcasts
including, but not limited to, production support, problem management,
reporting, vendor management, asset management, and meeting service
level agreements.
Employee will collaborate and recommend both tactical and strategic
video networking and collaboration capabilities.
The employee will play a vital role in the standardization and
simplification of the Apple video infrastructure.
Team with peer IS&T groups in delivering video and broadcast
services as defined by management.
Provide subject matter solutions in video and collaboration technology.
Develop internal staff documents for event analysis, troubleshooting
support, network infrastructure documentation and maintenance
procedures.
Create and monitor project schedules and timelines to identify and meet
critical milestones.
Develop positive, internal high quality business relationships to
execute videoconference and broadcast events.
Manage activities and relationships with AV/VC vendors, installers and
manufacturers.
Prepare data for presentations and end user training material.
Manage complex IT projects and deliver results on time and on or under
budget.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications or related field or equivalent experience
