Key Qualifications
- •Hands-on style with superb data analysis skills; a passion for data and skilled at utilizing a broad set of tools and approaches to derive actionable insight from raw data through report generation
- •Strong database skills including design, SQL, and stored procedures strongly preferred
- •Proven implementation record with OLAP technologies such as Business Objects, Oracle OBIEE preferred
Description
Analytics
Management
•Translation of business needs into documented reporting requirements
•Prioritization of report development based on business need
•Development of both standardized and ad-hoc reporting to address
business needs
•Communication and training for cross-functional end-users regarding
usage and interpretation of reports
•Envisioning of possibilities for producing information obtained from
synthesizing data from diverse transactional systems; development of
prototypes using BI toolsets
Business Systems Administration
•Quality control of system master data changes including validation of
master data and user security permissions
•Management of new, transferring, and departing user account
provisioning
•Training of cross-functional end-users on business processes and system
use including upkeep of the training curriculum
•Ongoing support of end-users on system use and fielding of end-users’
help-desk requests
•Management of troubleshooting and implementation of fixes as needed
using a combination of system administrator privileges and partnering
with technical resources
•Execution of business user acceptance testing including script writing
and execution
Education
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Additional Requirements
•4 years experience managing or implementing functional IT systems (business lead role strongly preferred)
•5 years proven expertise in data modeling and report design and creation
•Strong knowledge of data warehouse design methodology (e.g. Kimball or equivalent methodology) a plus
