DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Position Overview:

The Senior Video Engineer will be primarily responsible for coordinating the strategies for defining, deploying and supporting the company’s global communication architecture for voice/video applications, hardware and converged solutions.  This position will work closely with other information technology and business teams to identify technical requirements and perform business case analysis in order to present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.  Applicant should have advanced knowledge of voice of IP, video delivery solutions and basic network troubleshooting.  This includes expertise across various video conference infrastructure and end points, including Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom and Microsoft Lync.    





  • Design global video conference infrastructure including bridging, call control and management

  • Knowledge of Enterprise WAN concepts, load balancing hardware, Content Delivery Networking

  • Review detailed research materials, vendor product plans and industry trends for emerging voice/video technologies in order to identify the impact on current Company technology strategies and business plans.

  • Assess the compatibility and integration of video products proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technology segments.

  • Manage a project against a plan and objectives to ensure commitments are met by monitoring, assessing, and resolving variances in budget, timing or quality of work.

  • Create and refine conceptual alternatives of business process, technology design and blueprint or infrastructure assessment to create the physical environment needed to develop, test, train and deploy video and Telepresence solutions.

  • Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information and prioritizing the requirements to gain understanding of the business needs.

  • Communicate status of work to appropriate parties in order to keep them informed and involved.

  • Establish and maintain the video architecture and standard products in order to enable consistent, reusable and efficient practices within the IT function.

  • Identify, analyze and resolve complex voice, video and network issues by utilizing expertise and innovative technical solutions.

  • Manage or participate in cross-functional teams to promote voice and video strategies, analyze and test products, or perform pilot and first implementations of new technologies in order to integrate new technologies into the Company's Global infrastructure.

  • Create a communications plan (e.g., memos, letters, plan review meetings, status lists) to ensure frequent, accurate and timely communication to all stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the project plan.

  • Establish project measures to ensure that the project is on-time, on-budget and meets the customer’s specifications.

  • Communicate new and maintain a repository of IT standards/policies, changes or associated implementation requirements to affected stakeholders in order to ensure that resources are in place for effective and timely implementation, and that standard requirements are accessible to all stakeholders.

Education:  BA or relevant experience.
Experience:  At least 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology

Technical Skills:
•Basic Data Center Support, Operation and Design: Knowledge of basic system tools and standard operating system support processes. Includes a working knowledge of hardware and software operation and the ability to participate in the design and implementation of data center support processes and infrastructure.

•Basic Operating Systems: Knowledge of basic operating systems and all related aspects (e.g., system tools, management principles, platforms, software, hardware, related products and controls) required to design, implement and maintain infrastructure solutions.

•Advanced Data Center Support, Operation and Design: Knowledge of advanced system tools and standard operating systems used to proactively ensure that processing platforms meet established service levels. Includes operating proficiency with hardware and software in a global operating environment and the ability to lead the design and implementation of data center support processes and infrastructure.

•Consumer Focus: Demonstrating understanding of how one's actions and/or work impact the Company's relationship with consumers.

•Advanced Operating Systems: Knowledge of advanced operating systems and related aspects. Includes the ability to lead and act as a subject matter expert in the evaluation, selection and implementation of infrastructure solutions.

•Application Development Methodology: Ability to apply the standard TCCC application development methods covering the full development lifecycle (e.g., project preparation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support) to ensure solution quality and consistency of process.

•Business Partner Knowledge: Knowledge of business partners (such as customer, bottler, service agent, supplier) in their context: industry trends and competitive pressures, strategies and plans, organizational structure, decision-making process, contacts, technology infrastructure and systems.

•Desktop/Web Solution Development: Knowledge of internet and desktop tools and technologies (e.g., VBA, HTML, ASP, JavaScript, Style Sheets, XML, DHTML and Lotus Notes). Includes the ability to create software solutions using the internet and desktop tools.

•Functionality Testing: Knowledge of and ability to use testing methodologies, processes and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system, regression and dry run testing.

•IS Standards and Tools: Knowledge of and ability to apply the standards, procedures and tools of the Business Systems and Information Infrastructure functions in order to efficiently execute all support and development work activities.

•IT Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the key directional trends and emerging technologies in the IT industry. Includes knowledge of the key vendors, their strategic and tactical plans, and internal/external advisory services.

•IT Operating Environment: Knowledge of TCCC operating environments (e.g., client/server, MVS, AS/400) and processes (e.g., security administration, network management, production control) used in solution design and development efforts. Includes knowledge of key organizational contacts and groups supporting operations to allow for information sharing and issue resolution.

•Infrastructure Architecture: Ability to deploy production components across Mainframe, AS 400 and Client server environments; provide capacity planning; and support architecture/application.

•Middleware Software: Knowledge of and ability to use the existing middleware software environment covering gateways and the database management systems (DBMS) with which the gateways can be used. Includes knowledge of application integration tools (e.g., MQ Series).

•Process Modeling: Knowledge of process modeling procedures and the ability to decompose business processes by taking into account software and system capabilities and to ensure reuse, integration, maintainability and efficiency.

•Program Management: Ability to provide oversight and management to synthesize/bring synergy to multiple initiatives by establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently, adjusting priorities, establishing management routines to effectively track progress and identify issues; removing barriers and leveraging resources.

•Project Estimating: Ability to estimate the cost of a project, including the hardware, software, network and other related costs to design, develop, test and deploy the required solution.
