Job Summary
Apple
is looking for an experienced software QA engineer to work in our
Interactive Media Group (IMG). In this role you will work directly with
development engineers to drive testing of these frameworks using a
combination of manual and automated tests.
Key Qualifications
- BS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years experience automating testing
- 3 years of QA experience Python, Perl, Java, shell scripting or equivalent programming skill
- Experience with Audio or Video Engineering, Music Technology, or Video Technology
- Familiarity with iOS and OS X
- Strong commitment to technical quality assurance as a key part of the development cycle
- A passion for product quality
Description
The
Interactive Media Group (IMG) provides the media and graphics
foundation across all of Apple’s innovative products, including iPhone,
iPad, Apple TV, iPod, iTunes and Mac OS. Combining cutting-edge software
techniques with next-generation hardware, IMG takes the media
experience to the next level. IMG’s Quality Assurance team is looking
for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying IMG
frameworks. This position requires a motivated individual with strong
technical and communication skills to handle responsibilities which
include functional testing of features including AirPlay, cameras, audio
& acoustics, media routing, Advanced Imaging, Core Media, FaceTime,
and CoreAudio. In addition, this individual will discover and implement
automated tests. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent
communications skills. You must work well both on a team, and on your
own. We require a candidate who can quickly bring up testing in a new
technology and assess risk in a fast-paced and informal environment.
Continuous self-education in media fields as well as test tools and
methodologies will be a key factor in your success in this position. Job
responsibilities include: Structured comprehensive functional test
design & execution Writing test automation Collaboration with
engineering in the creation of comprehensive test plans Regression
testing & bug writing Project leadership
