What You'll Do
As a Material Flow Business Analyst for John Deere Harvester
in East Moline, IL you will provide data and analytic support to
business partners and processes utilizing information technology tools
and practices. In addition, you will:
- Hold responsibility and communication across Supply Management, Operations, and Manufacturing engineering groups on tactical and strategic issues.
- Apply information analysis to support effective implementation and integration of business improvement projects focusing on but not limited to; Raw/WIP inventory reduction, Container Type and Quantity alignment, completeness, and compliance
- Translate business needs into functional spec for process improvement.
- Measure and track compliance to established guidelines for system driven replenishment strategies including deployment of controlled delivery by build schedules.
- Develop technological solution and manage glide path data for parameter optimization.
- Create detailed business/process functional specifications.
- Research, Identify and analyze new data sources and metrics tools to support various strategic business processes/plans.
- Serve as liaison between business and Information Technology.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems
and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s
degree in Logistics/ Supply Management, Information Technology, or
Manufacturing/ Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience. In
addition, we require:
- Experience with problem solving and working within a team environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Access using external data sources.
- Experience with SAP Production Control Systems.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data gathering and analysis techniques such as Excel pivot tables.
- Experience working within and between various disciplines (e.g. Supply Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Accounting, Operations).
- Experience analyzing, translating, and defining business requirements into technical solutions.
- General knowledge of material replenishment and presentation methodologies.
A strong candidate will also have:
- Information Technology and/or business experience.
- Experience in Project Management including coordination and execution of project and change managements.
- Experience and knowledge of unit processes and operations.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Experience in Lean, Quick Response Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Experience in Just-in Time, Kanban, and Demand Flow Technology.
