Job description
The CFO organization at IBM Finance operates as a values driven team and trusted business advisors to the business operations. We play an integral role in driving key business decisions, supporting operations, and influencing business results. Throughout your career in IBM, you could potentially perform assignments in a range of functions including, accounting, financial planning, pricing, business controls, internal audit, treasury, tax, business development (acquisitions & divestitures), and global financing. As a trusted advisor, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate business judgment, leadership, creativity, decision making skills, and integrity.
We are currently seeking to fill co-op positions in IBM Accounting, Tax and Financial Planning. The co-op program is a full time role for six months that typically begins in June and ends late December or early January. You will be immersed in the operations of your assigned area and exposed to all aspects of the business and all the basic functions of the company. You will be able to interact with your colleagues in other locations. In the process, you will gain an understanding of the business and what makes it work. Specific roles and responsibilities will vary with the individual positions, however, you will be expected to analyze and interpret complex data and work on financial analysis/reporting.
Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 6 months experience in Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite (include coursework)
  • English: Fluent
Preferred
  • Accounting/Finance
  • At least 6 months experience in oral and written communication, leadership skills
