DEVELOPER

Location: New Rochelle, New York (30 minutes north of Manhattan)
Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Cross-Cultural Solutions is making fast, flexible, and exciting changes to our online user experience. We are seeking a developer to innovate, design, and develop new functionality in our site to create the best experience possible for interested and enrolled volunteers. Speaking to our core market of college students, and developing and improving social and mobile tools will be of primary importance in the success of this role.

Responsibilities
As part of the Marketing and Communications Team, the Developer has as exciting and demanding role at CCS: to stay on the cutting edge of technology while understanding and innovating our unique brand position. The Developer will be both responsive to requests from the team for creating new technologies, and creative in developing experiences based on an understanding of the international volunteer market.

Required Skills

* Strong experience developing PHP/HTML/CSS for web applications
* Design-sense, with the ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well with a creative team as well as back-end developers
* Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks to meet goals in a timely and effective manner

Highly Recommended
* An understanding of Drupal and Blue State Digital tools, or a willingness to learn
* Experience working with Javascript
* Experience with mobile-responsive design
* Understanding of object-oriented programming
* Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce AP

Salary/Benefits
Competitive starting salary, based on education and relevant professional experience. Performance review after 1 year of employment includes compensation review.
