Job description

The SAP Cloud Architect position is a sales support role focused on SAP and Infrastructure Cloud Services (SAP on Smart Cloud Enterprise+ and Smart Cloud Enterprise+). The SAP Cloud Architect is responsible for a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through solution design and presentation to the client. The SAP Cloud Architect must have the ability to work closely with clients in a consultative selling mode to understand the client's business requirements, issues, and priorities and develop a solution that advances the client's business strategy and goals. The SAP Cloud Architect maintains expert technical knowledge of IBM’s Smart Cloud portfolio, and applies that knowledge to the design of architectural solutions. The SAP Cloud Architect develops and leads execution of the technical risk management plan for the solution to be implemented. On contract signature the SAP Cloud Architect provides expert guidance to the solution implementation team to ensure client expectations are met.

Required Basic knowledge in SAP Consulting, with skills in SAP architecture and global landscapes Basic knowledge in sizing and scoping of core SAP platforms (ECC, NetWeaver, SCM, BI/BW, Portal, XI/PI, Solution Manager, etc) Basic knowledge in in bolt-on functionality (BI Accelerator, TREX, SAP Web Dispatcher, etc), Disaster Recovery and High Availability expertise specific to architecture components and landscape recommendations Basic knowledge in working in a Sales Support/Consulting position, including developing customer proposals and technical presentations Readiness to travel 25% travel annually English: Fluent

Preferred Bachelor's Degree At least 3 years experience in SAP Consulting, with skills in SAP architecture and global landscapes At least 3 years experience in sizing and scoping of core SAP platforms (ECC, NetWeaver, SCM, BI/BW, Portal, XI/PI, Solution Manager, etc) At least 3 years experience in in bolt-on functionality (BI Accelerator, TREX, SAP Web Dispatcher, etc), Disaster Recovery and High Availability expertise specific to architecture components and landscape recommendations At least 3 years experience in working in a Sales Support/Consulting position, including developing customer proposals and technical presentations Basic knowledge in compliance models such as HIPAA, Safe Harbor and FDA Basic knowledge in IBM pSeries and xSeries environments running SAP Basic knowledge in cloud solutions, virtual platforms and the future roadmap for SAP support of cloud Basic knowledge in midrange hardware (CPUs, disks, cards and storage), midrange operating systems (AIX, Win, Linux) and midrange networking connectivity
