Position Title: Sr. Treasury Manager, Investment Operations
Group: Treasury Capital Management

This exciting role will be responsible for management of middle-office and investment trade settlement processes of our $85B investment portfolio. Strong knowledge of fixed income securities, FX, derivatives, securities lending, collateral management and accounting is expected. Demonstrated investment operations work experience in a large corporation is required.


Key responsibilities:
• Lead a team of Treasury professionals, providing feedback and guidance to drive and improve team and individual performance results and job satisfaction
• Oversee core Treasury Operations functions including daily trade confirmations, settlements, cash reconciliations, OTC clearing, external managers, and securities lending.
• Actively lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives, partnering closely with teams within Treasury and Microsoft such as capital markets, controller’s team, cash operations, tax and legal.
• Drive operational preparedness for Dodd Frank initiatives and other market regulatory requirements including implementation of SEFs, FCM’s, and collateral management functions and operational oversight of vendor outsourced services.
• Lead operations team to implement best practices and ensure full compliance with internal controls and SOX procedures.
• Develop processes to monitor and report appropriate success metrics to leadership team and drive the function on a path to continuous improvement.
• Manage strategic relationships with our custodial banks, system vendors, accounting partners, and counterparties.


The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Strong customer focus and relationship management with internal and external business partners
• This team works with east coast/capital markets times so presence in the office at the right early hours is required
• Accuracy, attention to details and timeliness is critical for success
• Comfort level with technology and systems; desire and ability to learn new financial instruments and technology
• GAAP accounting enough to partner with our controller’s team


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business Administration/Finance, or a related subject required
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in Investment Operations or related field in a corporate environment is preferred
• Minimum of three years’ people management experience
• Prior experience in treasury ops, related trading or accounting function is a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of investments and various security types
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills with comfort presenting to large groups
• Ambitious, self-starter, with the proven ability to drive results and effectively manage priorities and ambiguity
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work within stringent deadlines
• Superb business partnering and cross-boundary collaboration skills
• Experience driving key process improvements & ability to independently lead cross-group projects
• Excellent Excel skills are required.
