Position Description:
The Credit Analyst Intern is a global role working with the worldwide credit and collections team in offices around the world. They will manage and further develop multiple forecast and analytical models related to cash forecasting, credit risk and reserves, as well as the health of the overall trade receivable portfolio. The analyst will drive general process improvement, development of online portals and tools, and manage special projects. The role is also involved with Sarbanes Oxley controls and compliance evaluation and testing across the global organization. The Credit Analyst must stretch the envelope on creative problem solving and challenge conventional thinking around existing frameworks. There is room for this role to grow to the extent the analyst is able to generate additional value.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and support month end close reporting and analytics
• Execute project elements to achieve business objectives
• Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and compliance testing and evaluation
• Forecast cash from trade receivables
• Online portal development and maintenance (SharePoint)
• Collaboration with finance teams on Credit Services budget planning and review
• Maintenance on various Excel models. Examples: forecasting bad debt expense on accounts receivables; modeling potential pricing structures

Basic Qualifications:
• Senior year in an undergraduate program, or currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline at the University of Nevada, Reno

Preferred Qualifications:
• Interest in a career in corporate finance and treasury
• Project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented
• Excel power user
• Solid communication skills
• Basic understanding of the balance sheet and other financial statements
