Job Summary

As a CAD engineer in the Library group, you will be responsible for planning and architecting Library Flows and Methodologies. Management of Hard-IP and Soft-IP libraries, PDK, design kits from internal and external design teams/foundry. You will be reviewing and testing the library material to insure high quality to the entire design group. As such, you will be exposed to many library views for different EDA tools and numerous design flows. You will have a functional knowledge of all of these tools and flows as you work on guiding the other members of the team regarding the design materials. Additional responsibilities include communicating with the design team to answer questions about the materials and drive issues to resolution.

Key Qualifications

  • Typically requires at least 5+ years of experience with EDA tools, Design or Verification.
  • Must be able to script in any of the following: Perl or TCL using Makefiles
  • Strong passion for scripting, as the role entails quite a bit of it.
  • Must have good communications skills, customer interfacing experience is a plus.
  • It would be helpful, but not required, to have experience with leading commercial EDA tools.
  • Knowledge of design flows including Design Verification, DFT, Physical Design & Implementation a plus.

Description

•Planning, developing and deploying IP/Library Flows and Methodologies •Responsible for managing the vendor IP/libraries and ensuring the quality metrics. •Role will involve extensive PERL and TCL languages to perform various flow automations. •Organization of data in a metrics or dashboard system to ensure transparency. •Working with a small team and contributing to different CAD responsibilities.
