Job description
This position will provide on-site Network Administration and Engineering services to the client's internal LAN infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for all operational and engineering aspects which include troubleshooting network faults, configuration of switches, patching network components, writing implementation plans and working closely with the network architects to ensure tasks are engineered and implemented as designed.

It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of the following cities: Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered.

Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel. (2252) R2CJ
Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 5 years experience in network sytems administration and engineering.
  • At least 3 years experience in Cisco routers, Brocade switches, F5 load balancers and Juniper routers.
  • At least 3 years experience in creating detailed implementation plans for network configuration changes.
  • At least 3 years experience in reviewing network infrastructure check out (NICO) results and ensuring adherence to the network baseline.
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Fluent
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Remedy trouble ticketing system.
  • At least 5 years experience in VLAN and IP Subnet architecture.
  • At least 5 years experience in configuring load balancers, network routers and switches.
  • Security clearance of Secret - Active
