Key Qualifications

  • ETL/ELT framework design
  • Strong Knowledge of Teradata/Oracle and internals of the architecture.
  • Good Knowledge on the internals of Linux and Unix environments
  • Strong hands on experience with Python or any other scripting languages
  • Strong interest in algorithms

Description

Global Business Intelligence (GBI) team within Apple's IS&T organization has a large Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to support analytical and reporting needs of global Apple. This is a great opportunity for a smart, experienced and results-oriented framework developer to build ETL solutions & frameworks. The candidate should be self-driven, highly motivated, innovative and have a proven track record of handling large data volumes. The GBI team is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, energetic individual with excellent written and oral skills who is not afraid to think outside the box and question assumptions. In this role, you will be part of a fast growing, cohesive team with many exciting responsibilities related to framework development. -ETL/ELT framework design using various tools and technologies -Provide scalable solutions for handling large data volumes (Terabytes of data) and complex reporting needs -Hands-on data analysis, trouble shooting of issues -Data modeling and database design

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

Excellent analytical capabilities Ability to work within a team Passion for development Strong Data warehouse skills and good RDBMS knowledge. Strong framework and algorithmic mindset to create reusable components. Preferred: Development experience in Perl Working knowledge on Cassandra. Experience in ETL Tools like Informatica, BO Data Services
