This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new PepsiCo Beverage Category Management Center of Excellence (COE) team. This role will support internal strategic development for the Grocery Channel (SBP/AOP). This role will also be heavily involved in sharing best practices and building capabilities across the larger Category Management team that supports our customers. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



  • Complete sales performance decomposition across beverage categories, brands, and channels

  • Use trends to assist in the creation of future strategy and aid in decision making

  • Identify, measure, and quantify shopper and channel trends and opportunities to contribute to the internal SBP and AOP processes

  • Develop sell stories that meet retailer, channel & PepsiCo Beverage objectives

  • Present strategic insights to support selling initiatives, and gain alignment of major initiatives at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Create selling stories leveraging all available selling materials & enablers

  • Contribute to innovation sell-in by presenting shopper/category story and retailer optimization recommendations

  • Analyze & present post-promotion/performance analysis, quantifying impact to brands, categories, and channels

  • Learn and become an expert in key category management tools

  • Coach, mentor and train the larger category management team in processes and tools



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor degree, MBA a plus

  • Six or more years of experience in Insights/Category Management/Sales (CPG Industry Preferred)

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge and experience in Syndicate POS, Household Panel, (IRI Nielsen), and retailer Shopper Card data (e.g. dunnhumby, EYC)

  • Able to present ideas and translate complex concepts to contribute to cross-functional teams

  • Examples of being a self-starter with strong project management skills

  • Creative, analytical thinker with strong communication skills- able to draw key points from data

  • Examples of mentorship, teaching, leading and/ or creating best in class processes

  • Key Category Management Competencies Include: Granular Demand Analytics, Creating Tailored Solutions, Leading and Implementing Insights to take Action, Understanding and Articulating the Business, Customer Strategy
