Spec, Pricing/Derivative Proce (Job Number: 1308949)

Description

Price assets for clients holding securities. Handle valuation processing, data validation and daily file releases. Research and validate vendor files to increase coverage. Respond to inquiries from valuation clients; research pricing exceptions and variances. Liaise with client accounting and global vendors regarding price challenges and account inquiries. Conduct security set-up and maintenance; cross-check and validate peer s work on security set-up. Work with a variety of derivatives such as options (spots, futures, equities, and bonds), futures, swaps, equities, certificates of deposit, private placements, CMOs, long- and short-term repos, term loans and corporate bonds. Process daily valued accounts. Conduct securities research using industry market data sources. Perform data quality review and validation for client securities. Incumbents at the Specialist level usually specialize in either Pricing or Derivatives and will not typically touch both areas. Must have basic understanding of the financial industry, preferably in domestic or international equity and derivatives. Incumbent must possess time-management and task prioritization skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines. Must possess solid PC skills including some knowledge of spreadsheets and relational database querying. Incumbent rarely deviates from set procedures and processes, though is expected to identify and address errors or problems within the context of the procedures. Incumbent must be able to work well within a team environment.Incumbent's work quality has a direct effect on team performance. Work with other related BNYM units. Incumbent must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated customer service skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. 2 to 3 years experience .
