Description
Interfaces with experienced Project Managers and / or Program Managers to ensure project management methodologies and development lifecycles are incorporated into the tools and techniques routinely used for project management within LOBs. Interfaces with less experienced Project Management Administrators and all levels of Project Manager to coach and mentor the adoption of appropriate project management tools and techniques and ensure integrity of project data. Recognizes differences in project management requirements and works to adapt standard tools and techniques appropriately. Is responsible for understanding implications of differing techniques in relation to the organization's defined software process and communicating them effectively. Assists in creating and maintaining resource pool information to facilitate assignment of IT resources within Corporate project management tool(s).
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years experience required. S/he has knowledge of technologies in use for project and process management within the LOB(s) for which s/he is responsible. S/he must be versed in the implementation of the Capability Maturity Model within the LOB(s) for which s/he is responsible. S/he must have effective oral and written communication skills and be able to clearly address individuals and groups at all levels of staff and management. S/he must be customer-service oriented and accountable. S/he must also be an experienced problem-solver who thinks logically and seeks assistance when appropriate. Job holder must be proficient using a personal computer and experienced with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Strong working knowledge of MS Project or a comparable project management tool is required. Prior experience managing small projects, as well as planning and tracking multiple complex projects, are required.B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification beneficial.
