Job description
The Project Manager Level II will provide technical leadership supporting 3 teams. The Network and Telecom O&M, Infrastructure Security Operations Support and Database Administrator Support Services. The client's performance objective for the Network Operations and Maintenance support services sought is to provide users with a cost effective, scalable, and secure data network that consistently meets user performance and availability expectations. The client's network infrastructure has evolved into an enterprise class solution. That solution is comprised of 23 routers, 196 switches, 4 DWDM nodes, 3 firewalls, 3 VPN devices, 10 IDS/SIEM and 8 NAC appliances. These devices are distributed throughout 45 buildings at the various campuses. Support shall include planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and video formats. It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of the following cities: Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered. Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel. R2CJ
Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years experience in overall technical management facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • English: Fluent
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in defining project tasks and resource requirements.
  • At least 3 years experience in assembling and coordinating project staff including on site resources and outsourced resources.
  • At least 3 years experience in managing the project budget.
  • At least 3 years experience in planning and scheduling project timelines.
  • At least 3 years experience in managing project resource allocation.
  • At least 3 years experience in developing project plans.
  • Security clearance of National Agency Check (NAC) - Active
