Job description
Systems and Technology Group has openings for Software Engineering interns. We develop industry-leading hardware and software solutions for IBM Systems, Storage, and related products.

Employees in this role use design documentation, such as Functional Programming Specifications and high level design documents to implement the identified components under the direction of Software Engineers. Responsibilities may include developing new features for the AIX (IBM's Commercial UNIX platform for the POWER systems) operating system.
Features such as file systems security, kernel extensions, memory management, device drivers, networking, virtualized storage and high availability.

They also ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. Software Engineers also provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team during the software development life cycle.

Positions are available in Austin TX.

Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 6 months experience in Linux Administration/Fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge in C programming
  • English: Fluent
