Description

 
Software Developer to join Knowledge Management Center at SAS Institute Inc. This person will assist with the design, development and support of the internal Sales and Marketing System. Duties will include designing and writing new or revised application code; performing development level testing, assisting in documentation and training; system administration tasks such as server and database maintenance; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 
Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field;
  • A minimum of two years of programming experience in an application or consulting environment
  • Programming experience in Java;
  • Experience in designing and developing Web based applications;
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle DB;
Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements stated above
       -Associate's degree in a related field plus an additional 2 years of the stated essential experience
       -High School Diploma (GED) plus an additional 4 years of the stated essential experience
Additional
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferences
  • Working experience with Hibernate, Spring, JSF 2.0, J2EE application servers like JBoss, JMS, Web Services, Eclipse or Netbeans, CVS, IIS, and SOA model
  • Familiarity with application server setup and maintenance
  • Excellent knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
