Description

 

As a Software Developer with JMP, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining C++ code for a large desktop application with a timed release cycle. In particular, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing graphical infrastructure code to support statistical visualizations, including interfaces at the C++ API level, scripting level, and user interaction level. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • 2 years of software development experience
  • C++ software development
Equivalent Essential
  • Associate's degree in the same fields plus 7 years of stated essential qualifications ~ OR
  • High school diploma (GED) plus 9 years of stated essential qualifications
Additional
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong math skills including geometry, trigonometry, matrix algebra and graph theory
  • Strong knowledge of C++, including pointers, callbacks, and memory management
  • Strong knowledge of user interaction design
  • Aptitude for data visualization
  • Some knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Ability to work and learn independently with priorities and deadlines
Preference
  • Experience with Visual Studio
  • Experience with JMP
  • Experience with interactive statistical graphics products
  • Experience with dynamic GUI creation without a layout tool
  • Positive online reputation (stackoverflow, projecteuler, or similar sites)
