Description
As
a Risk Consulting Associate, you will serve as a consultant on data
provisioning, analytics, and reporting frameworks in delivering
financial risk and compliance solutions to SAS customers.
Detailed responsibilities will include:
• Demonstrate analytical
leadership in delivering Risk and Compliance solutions and
implementations to customers within a structured delivery framework;
• Assess the functional and operational business needs of Risk and Compliance services engagements
• Analyze 3rd party and in-house systems of record for portfolio and reference data sources
• Explore and design creative new approaches to solving real business problems
• Lead functional assessments to understand and solution requirements for risk and compliance frameworks

Qualifications
Essential
• MS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Financial Math, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative or technical field
• Ability to travel at least 50% throughout the US
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical and quantitative concepts to an executive audience
Additional
• 2-5 years’ experience in Banking and/or Insurance within a financial institution or consulting firm
• Candidates must be located near a major US airport
• Additional risk domain knowledge considered valuable – market risk, credit risk, enterprise risk, and/or operational risk
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues on risk and compliance technical topics
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, and to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience driving risk implementation teams in the financial services industry with specific focus on risk management applications and consulting services
• Expertise in regulatory compliance guidelines such as Basel II, Dodd-Frank, Solvency II
