| As a Big Data Technical Sales Professional, you are IBM’s
technical sales consultant to our clients and a technical sales leader
for IBM sales teams and/or Business Partners. You will learn the
client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or
competitive landscape and apply your technical knowledge and experience
to bring new solutions to your assigned clients. You will provide
technical sales support which may include: collaborate with IBM sales
teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and
feasibility of proposed solutions; provide technical presentations and
live demonstrations; deliver pre-defined hands-on sessions, called PoT
(Proof of Technology), deliver Proofs of Concept; develop and deliver
technical education; create and deliver Readiness Plans; participate in
support -related responsibilities to assist incritical situations;
design solutions; and answer technical questions. When engaged for a
specific opportunity or project, you are responsible for the technical
accuracy of the proposed solution. Based on customer requirements, you
will demonstrate the feasibility of solutions such as IBM Pure Data for
Analytics powered by Netezza, IBM Big Insights (Hadoop), IBM Infosphere
Streams, and IBM Pure Data for Operational Analytics powered by DB2. In this role, you will be part of the Midwest Technical Sales team, responsible for providing pre-sales technical leadership in sales engagements as well as managing and recommending deployment services to drive customer results. Further Responsibilities -Partner with sales peers to assist with software deployments and resolution of post-sales issues -Manage and execute customer proof of concepts for the IBM Big Data Suite of Technologies -Maintain understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes Key Attributes -Ability to understand business problems and articulate a corresponding solution based on software technology -Understanding of competitive technologies and their market place -SQL skills | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
