Title :Scrum Master and Agile Coach

Job Summary:
The Agile/Scrum Coach will be responsible for working with business and IT teams to explore and implement agile development methods. This position requires an experienced IT Process Architect/Coach with a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile Methods, including Scrum. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of training, coaching, and mentoring needed to transition traditional development teams to Agile Scrum and to continue to mature existing Agile teams.
Responsibilities include partnering with business and IT on the implementation of an agile methodology framework, and training / coaching / mentoring teams delivering solutions for a variety of business processes, IT platforms and architectures.

Scope of Activities:
- Evangelize Agile methods and processes across NetApp business, IT, and Engineering
- Provide Agile Scrum instruction and training to development teams
- Build a community of Scrum practitioners and advocates so proficiency in Agile becomes part of how we deliver innovative solutions
- Design a Scrum practice, including process documentation and other useful artifacts
- Act as Scrum Master for 1-3 initial scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.
- Assist the program and project manager(s) with keeping cross-functional backlog groomed
- Ensure cross-team coordination, best practice identification, and continuous improvement
- Maintain relevant metrics that provide improvement opportunities to the team
- Act as a project manager when necessary, managing dependencies between scrum teams
- Strengthen the presence of NetApp in the Agile and Lean Community
Job Requirements:
• Certified Agile Scrum Master/Trainer/Coach – 3+ years
• Certified Scrum Product Owner – a plus
• Working knowledge and certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) - a big plus
• 12 or more years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/development, IT Architecture or other IT delivery areas)
• 5 or more years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner or member of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations
• Hands-on experience as an Agile Lead or Agile Coach, preferably with medium-to-large organizations
• Understand fundamentals of iterative development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment where priorities can change quickly
• Excellent analysis and problem solving skills and ability to identify win-win solutions
• Strong facilitation, influence, collaboration, and negotiation skills

Characteristics:
- Strong Leader – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority (i.e., make the tough calls under team duress)

- Continual improvement - Must continually advance knowledge in Agile methods, learning new tools and techniques to manage teams, projects, and programs
- Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion, leading to alternative approaches
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience is required; 12+ years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field is required; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical program/project of product deliveries.
