Serves as technical expert on assigned area’s applications, including code, interfaces and data flows. Responsible for the maintenance of application programs & interfaces; coordinates with project teams and business analysts to translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced application solutions. Demonstrates command of multiple programming languages, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and interfacing.
Lead DRM analyst is responsible for operating, maintaining, tuning and enhancing the Hyperion DRM application to ensure a stable, optimized master data management system. Collaborate with multiple Finance based Oracle / Hyperion / homegrown technologies to support GE financial closing, planning & analysis processes. Lead DRM Ops GDC team and partner and work closely with the Hyperion Ops Team on various Corporate initiatives (e.g. – Planning, Essbase, security, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, etc.)
  • Maintains peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, etc) to support effective implementations.
  • Lead all IT operations activities related to Corporate Hyperion DRM application including but not limited to:
  • Manage total GE closing & planning cycle master data by partnering with functional owners and leading GDC support team
  • Provide user support, security, upgrades and other ad hoc requests
  • Maintain and enhance inbound and outbound master data (Workflows / Governance)
  • Ensure data integrity by managing integration with development activities
  • Automate key processes (Autosys scheduling, scripting, ES DRM to DRM integration)
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and utilization
  • Ensure accounting master data is synchronized with upstream and downstream applications (recon)
  • Manage a dynamic and demanding business client base as IT client lead for master data which directly impacts financial consolidation, closing, planning and analysis functions of finance
  • Proactively drive the prioritization and resource planning of IT work to support business objectives and key initiatives for FP&A
  • Build strong relationships with Business & IT teams to ensure effective support operations and drive simplification of business processes
  • Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they align with business objectives and goals
  • Drive operational activities managing expectations with functional customers (i.e. balancing their needs with wants and educate as appropriate)
  • Identify major areas of improvement and drive results ensuring they are on time and to appropriate quality standards
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed IT action plans
  • Ensure compliance to system architecture, methods, standards, practices and participate in their creation
  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
  • Keep abreast with the new tools and technologies as well as other advancements made in the master data realm
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field, OR minimum 4 years of relevant IT work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on work experience in Hyperion DRM 11.1.X
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with system analysis, design & supporting enterprise platformsEligibility Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, financial cycles and processes
  • Knowledge of Support Central workflows
  • Knowledge of Bpel/BPM
  • Knowledge of other Financial Systems (i.e. - Oracle Financials, OBIEE, ODI, Hyperion, Planning, Essbase, etc.)
  • Proven experience in onshore and offshore team management
  • Experience / knowledge with Classic and EPMA deployments
  • Experience / knowledge with Financial Data Quality Manager (FDM)
  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
