Job Summary
The
iOS Software team is looking for individuals to prep, distribute and
track prototype and development hardware inside our hardware
distribution lab. The lab ensures hardware is made available to software
teams when they need it for testing and development. This position
offers an opportunity to interact with many iOS teams and every
individual on our team makes a clear difference to our end products!
Key Qualifications
- Skills, Education and Experience Required:
- Successful experience operating in customer service role; preferably within a technical retail environment
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
- Desired Skills/Experience:
- Good understanding of Mac OS X
- Good understanding of software development processes
- Experience with inventory management
- Unix programming/scripting experience or equivalent
- Experience with relational databases, such as FileMaker, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Description
Collects hardware deliveries across campus. Requires lifting as well as pushing carts in between buildings
Runs hardware through a standard set of processing tasks, prior to distribution to teams, per priorities set by the Lab Manager
Distributes hardware at lab front desk and partners with larger lab team to discuss allocation guidelines and conflicts
Primary interface to teams collecting hardware and accessories. Ensures hardware is properly re-assigned to new owners
Provides basic trouble-shooting and guidance to teams at front desk and via email
Accepts returns when software teams are completed with hardware and ensures return processes are followed
Regularly audits inventory of lab
Education
BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent
