Job Summary
An
exciting opportunity to lead and manage a creative and vibrant team of
designers who are passionately creating intuitive and engaging user
experiences for Apple business applications. You will interact with the
various Application Managers, their engineering teams and end-users to
produce high quality software solutions that span all platforms (MAC,
iOS and Web).
Key Qualifications
- Lead the definition of great UX throughout the application lifecycle, from initial concept to final delivery of projects.
- Creating and consistently meeting schedules for complex projects
- Managing a team of full- time employees and contractors, with responsibility for resource allocation, work processes and procedures
- Consistently moving the bar to create better, innovative experiences for our users
- Ensure all designs adhere to Apple usability standards and guidelines
- Continuously improve processes and procedures affecting the work of the team
- Ensure high standards of usability, consistency and clarity in design and quality of deliverables
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team
- Contribute to risk analysis and weigh in on decisions that may impact development plans
Description
Extensive experience in practical user interface design, across a variety of domains and product types
10+ years working in a fast-paced environment work on a myriad of client-side, web and mobile applications.
Experience in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and solid understanding of UX design principles
Expert knowledge of core design tools and familiarity with current Web technologies
Ability to work and lead cross-functionally
Must be self-motivated. Independently manage time, prioritize, manage multiple projects, budgets and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent analytic ability and effective problem solving skills
A talent for diplomatic discussion: the ability to listen, convince and collaborate in a cross-functional environment
Experience in creating detailed page and module level specifications for handoff to web developers
Education
5 years management experience
MS/BA/BS in HCI or related field is a plus
