Hybrid role focusing on Financial Reporting and
special projects geared toward total company simplification of
reporting GE’s financial results
Financial Reporting
Analyze financial statement areas for two SEC registrants (GE
and GECC). Prepare footnote and MD&A disclosures for each
registrant’s quarterly and annual SEC filings, as well as for the GE
Annual Report. Review disclosures with senior management.
Prepare and present sections of quarterly/annual summary
balance sheet analysis package provided to senior management for GE and
GECC.
Coordinate data collection process with Businesses, and Corporate functions including, FP&A, Tax and Treasury.
Participate in the GE quarterly press release process ensuring accuracy of all data.
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements related to the financial reporting process.
Projects
Support total company simplification initiatives to
implement financial reporting requirement changes and improve business
reporting methods that optimize total company quarter close cycle time
Assist with resolving technical accounting and disclosure issues as new accounting standards are implemented
Respond to inquiries from investor relations as required
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting

5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
Knowledge and experience with ledger-based reporting systems (e.g. HFM)
Experience in public accounting (e.g. big 4 experience preferred)
Strong organizational skills
Strong PC skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under strict time constraints
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and across functions
Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects
